Salmos 98

A Psalm.

O sing unto the LORD a new song; for he hath done marvellous things: his right hand, and his holy arm, hath gotten him the victory.

A 'destra' (mão direita) e o 'braço santo' são símbolos do poder divino. No Novo Testamento, esta imagem é aplicada a Cristo como instrumento da salvação (Atos 2:33; Hebreus 2:10). O 'cântico novo' remete à Revelação 5:9, associando a redenção messiânica.
Before the LORD ; for he cometh to judge the earth: with righteousness shall he judge the world, and the people with equity.

O julgamento divino mencionado aqui é associado à segunda vinda de Cristo no Novo Testamento (Atos 17:31; 2 Timóteo 4:1). A justiça e equidade divinas contrastam com sistemas humanos de julgamento.
