Salmos 110

A Psalm of David.

1The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool.

Este é um dos salmos mais citados no Novo Testamento devido a suas claras referências sobre o Messías. Em Mat 22:41-45, Jesus recitou as palavras deste versículo fazendo referência a si mesmo. Os versículos 1 e 6 profetizam a destruição total e final do malvado que Cristo levará a cabo (Apocalipse 6-9). O Salmo 110.2 profetiza o reino de Cristo na terra (Rev 20:1-7). Os dois versículos seguintes falam do sacerdócio de Cristo em seu povo (Hebreus 5-8) e 110.5, 6 prediz a batalha final na terra quando Cristo vença às forças do mal (Rev 19:11-21).
