A Song

O God, my heart is fixed; I will sing and give praise, even with my glory.
Awake, psaltery and harp: I myself will awake early.
I will praise thee, O LORD , among the people: and I will sing praises unto thee among the nations.
For thy mercy is great above the heavens: and thy truth reacheth unto the clouds.
Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens: and thy glory above all the earth;
That thy beloved may be delivered: save with thy right hand, and answer me.
God hath spoken in his holiness; I will rejoice, I will divide Shechem, and mete out the valley of Succoth.

Siquém foi uma cidade estratégica em Canaã (Gn 12:6-7), onde Jacó enterrou ídolos estrangeiros (Gn 35:4). O vale de Sucote é onde Jacó se estabeleceu após reconciliação com Esaú (Gn 33:17). A divisão dessas terras simboliza a posse divina da Terra Prometida.
Gilead is mine; Manasseh is mine; Ephraim also is the strength of mine head; Judah is my lawgiver;

Gileade (região a leste do Jordão), Manassés e Efraim (tribos de José) representam territórios do norte. Judá, tribo real, destaca a liderança messiânica (Gn 49:10). Reflete a divisão tribal pós-Êxodo.
Moab is my washpot; over Edom will I cast out my shoe; over Philistia will I triumph.

Moabe e Edom (nações rivais de Israel) são tratados simbolicamente: lavar os pés em Moabe indica humilhação; jogar o sapato sobre Edom remete a costumes de posse de terra (Rt 4:7-8). Filístia (inimigo costeiro) completa o quadro geopolítico.
Who will bring me into the strong city? who will lead me into Edom?

Edom era famosa por fortalezas como Petra. A pergunta reflete desafios históricos de conquista (2Sm 8:14) e dependência divina para vitórias.
