Why standest thou afar off, O LORD ? why hidest thou thyself in times of trouble?

O salmista expressa um lamento comum na Bíblia: a sensação de abandono divino em momentos difíceis (cf. sl22:1, mt27:46). Isso reflete a tensão entre a fé na providência e a experiência humana do sofrimento.
