Ezequiel 21

28And thou, son of man, prophesy and say, Thus saith the Lord GOD concerning the Ammonites, and concerning their reproach; even say thou, The sword, the sword is drawn: for the slaughter it is furbished, to consume because of the glittering:

Os amonitas e os israelitas pelo general brigavam uns contra outros. Deus disse a quão israelitas não se aliassem com nações estrangeiras, mas Judá e Amón se uniram contra Babilônia em 589 a.C. (Jr 27:3) Primeiro Deus julgou ao Judá, quando Nabucodonosor foi a Jerusalém (Jr 21:22), agora chegaria o turno ao Amón, não por aliar-se com o Judá, mas sim por ver a destruição do Judá com regozijo.

32Thou shalt be for fuel to the fire; thy blood shall be in the midst of the land; thou shalt be no more remembered: for I the LORD have spoken it .
