Eclesiastes 9

Now there was found in it a poor wise man, and he by his wisdom delivered the city; yet no man remembered that same poor man.
Wisdom is better than weapons of war: but one sinner destroyeth much good.

A superioridade da sabedoria sobre a força militar encontra paralelo em provérbios (pv21:22). Porém, o autor mantém seu ceticismo: mesmo a sabedoria pode ser anulada por um único erro.
